Seven months after we last hiked the INT, and 5 months after we had to cancel the May trip, at last on Tuesday we are scheduled to hit the trail again. I’m really looking forward to it.
Starting from Yardenit, our aim was to go to Kfar Kish on Day 1, to Nazareth Illit on Day 2 and to Hamovil Junction on the last day, on Day 2 climbing Mt Tabor and Mt Devorah.
In fact, it looks like we may switch Days 1 and 2, going from Kfar Kish to Nazareth Illit, before doing the long Yardenit to Kfar Kish stretch on Day 2. This is because I have my mother’s Yahzeit on Tuesday, and so we will hit the trail a bit late, after I’ve davened shacharit. Rafi is concerned that we will not make it to Nazareth Illit before nightfall. Logistics wise it is not really an issue as we are staying at the Pearl of the Valley Hotel at Kfar Tavor, very close to Kfar Kish, so that is the plan.
So, it is time to pack – it will be really good to get going again.
